Centuries ago, the infamous trickster Monkey King accompanied the gentle Buddhist monk Tripitaka on a pilgramage from the Middle Kingdom to India to find the sacred Buddhist Scriptures. Along the way, they had many adventures and encountered many strange and wonderful people....

In the 21st Century, another Ape (AKA Alex, Peter and Elizabeth), travelled from the West to the Middle Kingdom and just like Monkey King, enjoyed many adventures...
